(10a) In the case of products which are liquid in consistency but high in density (i.e. products which the packager may package as liquids or solids and which may therefore be measured in units of capacity or in units of weight and whose packaging may indicate either type of unit), harmonisation should be proposed in respect of the units of measure in which the content of such products is to be expressed, in order to enable consumers to compare prices of one and the same product.
(10 bis) Voor vloeibare producten met een hoge densiteit, die bij verpakking kunnen worden beschouwd als vloeibaar of vast, naar het oordeel van de verpakker, en dus kunnen worden gemeten in capaciteits- of gewichtseenheden, waarbij voor de informatie op de verpakking beide meeteenheden kunnen worden gebruikt, dient een harmonisering van de meeteenheden met betrekking tot de inhoud van het product te worden voorgesteld, zodat de consument prijzen van eenzelfde product kan vergelijken.
