...[+++]io della Réunion" del luglio 2008 e conformemente alle conclusioni del Consiglio del 10 dicembre 2011, che incoraggiavano la Commissione e gli Stati membri a promuovere un approccio comune in materia di protezione della natura in tutto il territorio dell'Unione, a inclusione delle RUP e dei paesi e territori d'oltremare degli Stati membri, e conformemente alla comunicazione della Commissione europea intitolata "La nostra assicurazione sulla vita, il nostro capitale naturale: la strategia dell'UE sulla biodiversità fino al 2020", in cui la Commissione si è impegnata ad ampliare e a incoraggiare l'iniziativa concernente la biodiversità e i servizi ecosistemici nei territori d'oltremare (BEST).
