In effetti, il compromesso già citato sul trasporto del petrolio del Mar Caspio prevede il rinnovo di un primo oleodotto che parte da Baku e sbocca al porto russo di Novorossisk passando per Grozny; prevede inoltre la costruzione di un secondo oleodotto da Baku fino a Poti (Georgia) e Midyat (Turchia) dove sarà collegato a un oleodotto già esistente per raggiungere il porto turco di Ceyhan.
In fact, the above-mentioned compromise concerning the transport of oil from the Caspian provides for the renovation of a pipeline from Baku to the Russian port of Novorossisk, via Grozny; it also provides for the construction of a second pipeline from Baku to Poti in Georgia and Midyat in Turkey, where it will join up with an existing pipeline to the Turkish port of Ceyhan.
