2. The Agency shall take the necessary initiatives to ensure that all border guards and other relevant staff of the Member States who participate in the European Border and Coast Guard teams, as well as the staff of the Agency, have received training in relevant Union and international law, including on fundamental rights, access to international protection and where appropriate search and rescue, prior to their participation in operational activities organised by the Agency.
2. Het Agentschap neemt de nodige maatregelen om ervoor te zorgen dat alle grenswachters en andere relevante personeelsleden van de lidstaten die deelnemen aan de Europese grens- en kustwachtteams, evenals de personeelsleden van het Agentschap, voordat zij deelnemen aan de door het Agentschap georganiseerde operationele activiteiten, opleiding hebben ontvangen betreffende het recht van de Unie en het internationale recht ter zake, waaronder de grondrechten, toegang tot internationale bescherming en, wanneer gepast, opsporing en redding.
