In the case of single-axle trailers and trailers with close-coupled axles where the axle spread is less than 1 metre, these control devices shall be equipped with a mechanism indicating its horizontal position (e.g. spirit level) and shall be manually adjustable to allow the mechanism to be set in the horizontal plane in line with the direction of travel of the vehicle.
Bij éénassige aanhangwagens en aanhangwagens waarvan de assen dicht bij elkaar zijn geplaatst (op een onderlinge afstand van minder dan 1 meter), moeten deze regelaars zijn voorzien van een mechanisme waarmee de horizontale stand is aangegeven (b.v. waterpas) en moet een verstelling met de hand mogelijk zijn om het mechanisme horizontaal in de bewegingsrichting van het voertuig te plaatsen.
