Regrets that, on account of differences in approach between the Court of Auditors and the Commission on the issue of financial clearance, Parliament cannot assess with accuracy its impact on the legality and regularity of the underlying operations; notes that, according to the Court of Auditors, the results of the conformity audits were not sufficiently taken into account for the financial clearance decision; calls on the Commission and the Court of Auditors, in the context of the adversarial procedure, to reach agreement on the financial clearance procedure;
171. betreurt dat het Parlement, gezien de verschillen van inzicht tussen de Rekenkamer en de Commissie omtrent de goedkeuring van de rekeningen, niet precies kan beoordelen in hoeverre deze van invloed zijn op de wettigheid en regelmatigheid van de onderliggende verrichtingen; merkt op dat de Rekenkamer heeft geconstateerd dat de resultaten van de conformiteitscontroles niet voldoende in aanmerking werden genomen in de financiële goedkeuringsbeschikking; verzoekt de Commissie en de Rekenkamer in het kader van de contradictoire procedure overeenstemming te bereiken over de financiële goedkeuringsprocedure;
