Points out that every child has the right to have access to vaccination and immunisation programmes; points out, too, that 8.8 million children under the age of five (half of them in sub-Saharan Africa) are still dying every year of preventable or curable illnesses; points out that the goal of the TBVI is to develop two types of vaccine: vaccines intended for first vaccination and booster vaccines to be administered to children;
11. wijst erop dat elk kind recht heeft op toegang tot vaccinatie- en immunisatieprogramma's; wijst er voorts op dat nog steeds 8,8 miljoen kinderen onder de vijf jaar (de helft hiervan in de landen van Afrika bezuiden de Sahara) jaarlijks sterven aan ziekten die te voorkomen en te genezen zijn; onderstreept dat het TBVI ten doel heeft twee typen vaccins te ontwikkelen: vaccins die bestemd zijn voor eerste vaccinatie en vaccins voor herhalingsvaccinatie van kinderen;
