AM. whereas the building industry, having made considerable profits during the years of rapid economic expansion, has become a primary casualty of the current collapse of the financial markets, itself partly provoked by speculative ventures in the housing sector, and whereas this affects not only the companies themselves, who are now confronted with bankruptcy, but also the tens of thousands of workers in the building industry who now face unemployment because of the unsustainable urbanisation policies which were pursued and of which they now have also become victims,
AM. overwegende dat de bouwsector, die tijdens de jaren van snelle economische expansie zijn winsten voortdurend zag toenemen, een van de eerste slachtoffers is geworden van de huidige ineenstorting van de financiële markten, die op haar beurt mede het gevolg is van speculatie op de huizenmarkt, en overwegende dat hiervan niet alleen de met faillissement bedreigde ondernemingen zelf, maar ook tienduizenden werknemers in de bouw de dupe zijn, die nu werkloos dreigen te worden vanwege het niet-duurzame ruimtelijk ordeningsbeleid waarvan zij nu ook het slachtoffer zijn geworden,
