Does the Commission not consider that the current US policy on privacy (transfers of personal data to NASA, creation of CAPPS II, unilateral initiatives on passengers' data infringing EU laws) cannot allow the US to be defined as 'adequate' in terms of the EU directives, as also stated by the French CNIL and other national privacy authorities, as well as privacy advocates?
Is de Commissie niet van mening dat wegens het huidige Amerikaanse privacybeleid (overdracht van persoonsgegevens aan NASA, creatie van CAPPS II, unilaterale initiatieven inzake passagiersgegevens die in strijd zijn met de EU-wetgeving), de VS niet als "adequaat" kan worden beschouwd met betrekking tot de EU-richtlijnen, zoals ook de Franse nationale commissie voor informatica en vrijheden (CNIL) en andere nationale instanties voor de bescherming van de privacy, alsook voorvechters van het recht op privacy reeds hebben verklaard?
