Behoudens punt 4 komt de luchtkwaliteit zoals beoordeeld aan de hand van het aantal deeltjes en het aantal kolonievormende eenheden, indien weefsels of cellen tijdens de bewerking aan de omgeving worden blootgesteld en daarna geen microbiële inactivatie ondergaan, overeen met klasse A zoals omschreven in de huidige versie van bijlage 1 bij de European Guide to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) en Richtlijn 2003/94/EG, waarbij de achtergrondomgeving geschikt is voor het bewerken van de betrokken weefsels/cellen en wat het aantal deeltjes en het aantal kolonievormende eenheden betreft ten minste overeenkomt met GMP-klasse D.
