The Commission has entrusted to Eurocontrol the tasks related to the execution of the network functions (air traffic flow management, design of the European route network, coordination of scarce resources especially the radio frequencies within aviation frequency bands used by general air traffic and radar (SSR) transponder codes) and the operation of the European Aviation Crisis Coordination Cell.
De Commissie heeft Eurocontrol belast met de taken verbonden aan de uitvoering van de netwerkfuncties (beheer van luchtverkeersstromen, ontwerp van het Europees routenetwerk, coördinatie van schaarse middelen met name de radiofrequenties binnen luchtvaartfrequentiebanden gebruikt door het algemeen luchtverkeer en transpondercodes voor radar (SSR)) en de werking van het Europees crisiscoördinatiecentrum.
