mption of fruit and vegetables produced in the EU (e.g. school projects), in view of th
...[+++]e decrease in the consumption of fruit and vegetable products, which is worrying from the point of view of health factors; in addition calls for the introduction of a specific promotion mechanism that may be used to promote the consumption of products in connection with which production forecasts indicate the likelihood of a crisis arising as a result of a production surplus; also calls for advertising campaigns to take account of the latest scientific findings in the field of nutrition and, accordingly, to promote the consumption of unprocessed or lightly processed fruit and vegetables, with particular emphasis on organically grown products and on regional and local varieties of fruit and vegetables in order to strengthen biodiversity; 38

...[+++]ondheid en consumentenbescherming om de consumptie van in de EU geproduceerd fruit en groenten te bevorderen (b.v. schoolprojecten) in verband met de afname van de consumptie van fruit en groenten hetgeen zorgwekkend is uit het oogpunt van gezondheid; verlangt de invoering van een specifiek bevorderingsmechanisme dat kan worden aangewend om de consumptie te stimuleren van producten waarvoor uit de prognose blijkt dat zij door een crisis dreigen te worden getroffen ten gevolge van overproductie; dringt erop aan dat bij reclamecampagnes rekening wordt gehouden met de nieuwste inzichten op voedingskundig gebied en dat daarom in het bijzonder propaganda moet worden gemaakt voor het gebruik van niet-bewerkte of slechts in geringe mate bewerkte groenten en vruchten; hierbij zou speciaal de nadruk moeten worden gelegd op producten uit de biologische landbouw en op regionale en lokale groente- en fruitsoorten, dit laatste ter bevordering van de verscheidenheid aan soorten;
