The inter-regional dialogue between the Community and Latin America dates back, however, to the beginning of the 1970s, when the first regular contacts were established between the Group of Latin American Ambassadors to the European Communities (GRULA) and representatives of the Commission and the Council in Brussels.
De interregionale dialoog tussen de Gemeenschap en Latijns-Amerika dateert echter reeds van het begin van de jaren 70, toen de eerste geregelde contacten werden aangeknoopt tussen de Groep van Latijnsamerikaanse ambassadeurs bij de Europese Gemeenschap (GRULA) en de vertegenwoordigers van de Commissie en de Raad van Ministers te Brussel.
