The Council noted that the 41st session of the International Rubber Council on 27 September-1 October 1999 had agreed by consensus on the termination of the International Rubber Agreement, and was informed of the preparations of the special session of the INRC on 13-17 December 1999 which will discuss the appropriate duration of the period for the liquidation of the entire organisation, the mandate of the "ad hoc group" which will discuss issues of international cooperation in the field of natural rubber, and the position on current projects set up by the INRO Secretariat.
De Raad nam nota van het feit dat de 41e zitting van de Internationale Natuurrubberraad (INRC) van 27 september - 1 oktober 1999 bij consensus heeft besloten de Internationale Natuurrubberovereenkomst te beëindigen, en kreeg een toelichting over de voorbereiding van de bijzondere zitting van de INRC op 13-17 december 1999, die zal spreken over de duur van de liquidatie voor de hele organisatie, het mandaat van de ad hoc groep die vraagstukken betreffende internationale samenwerking op het gebied van natuurrubber zal bespreken, en het standpunt omtrent lopende projecten van het INRO-secretariaat.
