A dense network of immigration liaison officers and their close cooperation is therefore a sensible measure to enable us effectively to combat mass immigration into Europe with all its negative consequences for the peoples of Europe. It must be ensured, however, that the information and assessments provided by liaison officers are made available to Frontex and the national authorities as quickly as possible and without any red tape.

Daarom is het zinvol om een fijnmazig net van immigratieverbindingsfunctionarissen op te bouwen, die nauw met elkaar moeten samenwerken. Op die manier kunnen we verhinderen dat er een golf van immigranten op Europa afkomt, met alle negatieve gevolgen van dien voor de Europese volkeren. 2. Representatives of the Commission and the FRONTEX Agency established by Regulation (EC) No 2007/2004 shall be entitled to participate in the meetings organised within the framework of the immigration liaison officers network, although, if required by operational considerations, meetings may be held in the absence of these representatives. Other bodies and authorities may also be invited, as appropriate.

2.
