The Commission will work closely with stakeholders in different sectors (business, trade unions, academics, NGOs, consumer organisations) and will draw up a framework for a modern industrial policy, to support entrepreneurship, to guide and help industry to become fit to meet these challenges, to promote the competitiveness of Europe’s primary, manufacturing and service industries and help them seize the opportunities of globalisation and of the green economy.
De Commissie zal in nauwe samenwerking met de betrokken partijen in de verschillende sectoren (bedrijven, vakbonden, academici, ngo's, consumentenorganisaties) een kader opstellen voor een modern industriebeleid. Dit beleid moet het ondernemerschap stimuleren, het bedrijfsleven helpen de uitdagingen aan te gaan, en het concurrentievermogen van de primaire, de productie- en de dienstensector versterken, zodat de kansen van de mondialisering en de groene economie niet aan het Europese bedrijfsleven voorbijgaan.
