(25) In order to assist in the rapid identification of contaminated sites, the owner of a site where, according to official records such as national registers or cadastres, a soil-polluting activity has taken or is taking place, or the prospective buyer should, prior to completing the land transaction, provide relevant information on the status of the soil to the competent authority and to the other party in the transaction.
(25) Om de snelle inventarisatie van verontreinigde locaties te bevorderen, dient de eigenaar van een terrein waar volgens officiële documenten zoals nationale registers of kadasters een bodemverontreinigende activiteit plaatsvindt of heeft plaatsgevonden, dan wel de potentiële koper, alvorens de transactie wordt afgerond de relevante informatie over de toestand van de bodem bekend te maken aan de bevoegde instantie en aan de andere partij bij de transactie.
