The challenge is to clear the way for the "factory of the future" which will exploit to the full all "intelligent" design, engineering and production technologies, e.g. modelling techniques, the simulation of prototypes, research into mechatronics and miniaturization of components.
Doel is de "fabriek van de toekomst" voor te bereiden, waarin alle "intelligente" technologie op het gebied van ontwerp, engineering en produktie - zoals modelleringstechnieken, simulatie van prototypes, onderzoek naar produktierobots of miniaturisatie van componenten - optimaal wordt benut.
