The Commission is concerned that Italian legislation transposing the floods Directive is unduly restrictive, in that it appears to exclude floods caused by non-meteorological events, such as tsunamis, and infrastructure failures, such as dam breaks.
De Commissie is bezorgd over het feit dat de Italiaanse wetgeving tot omzetting van de overstromingsrichtlijn te restrictief is, voor zover zij overstromingen die worden veroorzaakt door niet-meteorologische gebeurtenissen, zoals tsunami's, en door infrastructurele gebreken, zoals dambreuken, blijkt uit te sluiten.
