– support research into the prevention and control of HAIs, particularly those caused by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Clostridium difficile and other emerging difficult-to-treat infections and focusing in particular on forms of therapy that offer an alternative to treatment with antibiotics and a response to antibiotic resistance, including bacteriophage therapy;
– ondersteuning van onderzoek naar de preventie en de bestrijding van zorginfecties, in het bijzonder infecties veroorzaakt door meticilline-resistente Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Clostridium difficile en andere opkomende infecties die moeilijk te behandelen zijn, en met name op het gebied van alternatieve therapieën voor het gebruik van antibiotica en voor het beheersen van de antibioticaresistentie, in het bijzonder bacteriofaagtherapie;
