The Council took note of the presentation by the Commission of its Recommendation and held a substantive political discussion on the main concerns relating to the coexistence of genetically modified crops with conventional and organic farming, on the basis of a questionnaire prepared by the Presidency.
De Raad nam nota van de toelichting die de Commissie op haar aanbeveling verstrekte, en hield op basis van een door het voorzitterschap opgestelde vragenlijst een uitvoerig politiek debat over de belangrijkste problemen in verband met de coëxistentie van genetisch gemodificeerde gewassen met conventionele en biologische landbouw.
