I hope that my government, the Government of Spain, will not hinder the creation of a committee of enquiry in the Spanish Parliament, amongst other things in order to investigate the direct flights between the US bases of Rota, Morón and Torrejón and Guantánamo, and the possible involvement of Spanish police officials in interrogations in Guantánamo during the time of Mr Aznar's government.
Ik verwacht en hoop dat de regering van mijn land, Spanje, de instelling van een onderzoekscommissie in het nationale parlement niet in de weg zal staan, onder andere om de rechtstreekse vluchten tussen de Amerikaanse bases in Rota, Morón en Torrejón naar Guantánamo te onderzoeken, evenals de mogelijke betrokkenheid van Spaanse politiefunctionarissen bij ondervragingen op Guantánamo ten tijde van het bewind van de heer Aznar.
