Under the Circular Economy Action Plan, the EU will propose by 2017 a strategy on plastics, addressing issues such as recyclability, biodegradability, the presence of hazardous substances in certain plastics, and marine litterwith a clear international component against leakage of plastic to the environment.
In het kader van het actieplan voor de kringloopeconomie zal de EU tegen 2017 een strategie voor kunststoffen voorstellen, waarin kwesties als recycleerbaarheid, biologische afbreekbaarheid, de aanwezigheid van gevaarlijke stoffen in bepaalde kunststoffen en zwerfvuil op zee aan bod komen, met een duidelijke internationale component tegen lekkage van kunststof in het milieu.
