It strikes me as rather absurd that fierce opposition to clearly defined rules and standards for informing workers and protecting them against sunlight radiation has come principally from those Member States in which there is already a decent level of protection, whereas countries such as Italy, where much greater effort is required, did not raise any fundamental objections.

Het komt mij nogal lachwekkend voor dat juist vanuit de lidstaten die een zeer goed beschermingsniveau hebben er zoveel tegenstand kwam tegen duidelijk geformuleerde regels en standaarden voor de informering van werknemers over en de bescherming tegen zonnestraling, terwijl er van landen als bijvoorbeeld Italië, waar veel meer optreden nodig is, welhaast geen onvertogen woord tégen te horen viel.
