1. Behoudens nationaal recht, mogen NCB’s i) inspecties ter plekke uitvoeren, waaronder onaangekondigde, in de gebouwen van de geldverwerker om hun bankbiljettensorteermachines te controleren, met name in hoeverre de machines op echtheid en geschiktheid kunnen controleren en vermoedelijk valse eurobankbiljetten kunnen opsporen en eurobankbiljetten die ten aanzien van de rekeninghouder niet duidelijk echt zijn bevonden; en ii) procedures verifiëren inzake bediening en controle van bankbiljettensorteermachines, de behandeling van gecontroleerde eurobankbiljetten en manuele echtheids- en fitnesscontroles.
