1. By 31 December 2014, the Commission shall evaluate, submit a report to the European Parliament and to the Council on the use of phosphates and other phosphorous compounds in household automatic dishwasher detergents following a study based on the life cycle assessment of household automatic dishwasher detergents, available alternatives, their performance, their cost effectiveness and limits in terms of access to technology and, if justified, present a legislative proposal with a view to their gradual phase-out or restriction to specific applications.
1. Uiterlijk op 31 december 2014 heeft de Commissie een evaluatie doorgevoerd en bij het Europees Parlement en de Raad een verslag ingediend over het gebruik van fosfaten en andere fosforverbindingen in detergentia voor huishoudelijke vaatwasmachines na een studie die gebaseerd is op de levenscyclusbeoordeling van in huishoudelijke vaatwasmachines gebruikte detergentia, beschikbare alternatieven, hun prestaties, hun kostenefficiëntie en beperkingen in termen van toegang tot technologie, en, indien nodig, een wetgevingsvoorstel ingediend met het oog op de geleidelijke eliminatie of de beperking tot specifieke toepassingen”.
