The contribution that agriculture can make to improved air quality is clear, and a number of work strands are coming together: the revised ammonia ceilings under the NECD, the UNECE Ammonia Guidance Document,[29] the increasing focus in the Common Agricultural Policy on environmental protection, and the co-benefits of air pollution control for climate, water and soil.
Het is duidelijk welke bijdrage de landbouw kan leveren aan een betere luchtkwaliteit. Daarbij komen verschillende activiteiten samen: de herziening van de ammoniakplafonds in de NEC-richtlijn, het guidance document voor ammoniak van de VN/ECE[29], de toenemende aandacht voor milieubescherming in het gemeenschappelijk landbouwbeleid en de nevenvoordelen van de bestrijding van luchtverontreiniging voor klimaat, water en bodem.
