In welcoming the offer of political openness made by President Patassé, who is proposing dialogue with the opposition and with civil society, and Chad's declaration on collaboration with the CEMAC contingent made via its Minister for Foreign Affairs, the EU urges the parties in the CAR to establish a national dialogue, not excluding reconciliation, open to all the nation's dynamic forces, which should result in clear undertakings to improve the country's political, social and economic situation.
De EU verwelkomt het aanbod van politieke openheid van President Patassé, die een dialoog met de oppositie en de civiele samenleving voorstelt, en de verklaring die Tsjaad bij monde van zijn minister van Buitenlandse Zaken heeft afgelegd over samenwerking met het CEMAC-contingent, en dringt er bij de Partijen in de Centraal-Afrikaanse Republiek op aan een nationale dialoog aan te gaan die verzoening niet uitsluit, open is voor alle dynamische krachten in het land, en zal moeten uitmonden in heldere verbintenissen betreffende de verbetering van de politieke, sociale en economische situatie in het land.
