These include playing a leading role in promoting a stable, viable, peaceful, democratic and multi-ethnic Kosovo; strengthening stability in the region and contributing to regional cooperation and good neighbourly relations in the Western Balkans; promoting a Kosovo that is committed to the rule of law and to the protection of minorities and of cultural and religious heritage; supporting Kosovo’s progress towards the Union in accordance with the European perspective of the region and in line with the relevant Council Conclusions.
Deze omvatten het vervullen van een leidinggevende rol bij de bevordering van een stabiel, levensvatbaar, vreedzaam, democratisch en multi-etnisch Kosovo, bij de versterking van de stabiliteit in de regio en bij de ondersteuning van regionale samenwerking en goede nabuurschapsbetrekkingen op de westelijke Balkan; het ondersteunen van een Kosovo dat zich inzet voor de rechtsstaat en voor de bescherming van minderheden en van het cultureel en religieus erfgoed; het ondersteunen van de toenadering van Kosovo tot de Unie conform het Europees perspectief van de regio, in overeenstemming met de Raadsconclusies ter zake.
