Proposes, as part of the plan to reform state aid arrangements, that a clear-cut approach be laid down with a view to fostering innovation, which cuts across all sectors, under the heading of the Lisbon goals; considers that innovation, which should be understood in the broader sense and not confined solely to the technological aspects, must constitute a fundamental objective of Community industrial policy strategy;
50. stelt voor als onderdeel van het plan om overheidssteunregels te hervormen dat er een goed toegesneden benadering komt met het oog op bevordering van innovatie die alle sectoren omvat onder het motto van de doelstellingen van Lissabon; is van mening dat innovatie (op te vatten in bredere zin en niet slechts beperkt tot de technologische aspecten) een fundamentele doelstelling moet zijn van de beleidsstrategie van de Gemeenschap voor industrieel beleid;
