The hot, sunny summers the area enjoys favour harvesting operations and, in combinations with the humidity conditions typical of the Ferrara area, allows ‘Aglio di Voghiera’ to be dried in a slow and gradual fashion.
De regenbuien zijn frequenter in het voorjaar dan in het najaar. Dankzij de warme en zonnige zomers kan de knoflook zonder problemen worden geoogst. De typische vochtigheidsgraad in de provincie Ferrara draagt er voorts toe bij dat „Aglio di Voghiera” langzaam en stapsgewijs kan drogen.
