The competent authority may at the request of the rights-holder or on its own initiative, if national law allows the competent authority to act on its own initiative, request access to books and records kept by the licensee, for the sole purpose of checking whether the terms of the licence, and in particular those relating to the final destination of the products, have been met.
8. De bevoegde autoriteit kan, op verzoek van de houder van het recht of, indien de nationale wetgeving zulks toestaat, op eigen initiatief, toegang tot de boekhouding van de licentiehouder verlangen, met als enig doel te controleren of aan de licentievoorwaarden, en met name die in verband met de eindbestemming van de producten, is voldaan.
