Urges the Commission and the Member States to promote the use of co-generation and other methods of utilising waste heat, for example by including this factor in the authorisation and operating conditions for new industrial installations, such as power stations, furnaces and waste incineration plants;
11. dringt er bij de Commissie en de lidstaten op aan om de toepassing van warmtekrachtkoppeling en het op een andere manier gebruiken van restwarmte te bevorderen, bijvoorbeeld door dit op te nemen in de vergunnings- en exploitatievoorwaarden van nieuwe industriële installaties, zoals electriciteitscentrales, stookinstallaties en afvalverbrandingsinstallaties;
