Ingeval de in artikel 213, lid 2, onder a) en b), bedoelde deelnemende verzekerings- of herverzekeringsonderneming of verzekeringsholding of gemengde financiële holding zelf een dochteronderneming van een andere verzekerings- of herverzekeringsonderneming of van een andere verzekeringsholding of van een andere gemengde financiële holding met hoofdkantoor in de Unie is, zijn de artikelen 218 tot en met 258 alleen van toepassing op het niveau van de uiteindelijke moederverzekerings- of -herverzekeringsonderneming of verzekeringsholding of gemengde financiële holding met hoofdkantoor in de Unie.
