The Commission is sending a reasoned opinion to the United Kingdom because it considers that an obligatory national procedure for the authorisation of microwave traffic detectors (for use in conjunction with portable traffic light systems) prior to their marketing in the UK fails to comply with EC Treaty rules on the free movement of goods (Article 28).
De Commissie stuurt een met redenen omkleed advies naar het Verenigd Koninkrijk omdat zij van mening is dat een verplichte nationale goedkeuringsprocedure voor microgolf-verkeersdetectoren (die samen met mobiele verkeerslichten worden gebruikt) alvorens ze in het VK in de handel worden gebracht, niet in overeenstemming is met de voorschriften in het EG-Verdrag inzake het vrije verkeer van goederen (artikel 28).
