M. whereas the separation wall built by Israel, which does not follow the Green Line, cuts off considerable parts of Palestinian territory both in the West Bank and in East Jerusalem; whereas the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice on ‘Legal Consequences of the Construction of a Wall in the Occupied Palestinian Territory’ of 2004 declared that ‘The construction of the wall being built by Israel, the occupying Power, in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including in and around East Jerusalem, and its associated régime, are contrary to international law’;
M. overwegende dat de door Israël gebouwde scheidingsmuur, die niet parallel loopt met de Groene Lijn, een aanzienlijk deel van het Palestijns grondgebied afsnijdt zowel op de Westelijke Jordaanoever als in Oost-Jeruzalem; overwegende dat het advies van het Internationaal Gerechtshof van 2004 over de juridische gevolgen van de bouw van een muur in bezet Palestijns gebied, aangeeft dat de constructie van de muur die door Israël, de bezettingsmacht, wordt gebouwd in bezet Palestijns gebied, onder meer in en rond Oost-Jeruzalem, alsook alle daarbij behorende maatregelen, indruisen tegen het internationale recht;
