establish and maintain close contact with all the parties to the peace and transition process in the African Great Lakes Region, other countries of the region, the United States of America, other relevant countries, as well as the United Nations (UN) and other relevant international organisations, the African Union (AU) and subregional organisations and their representatives as well as other prominent regional leaders in order to work with them in strengthening the peace processes of Lusaka and Arusha and the peace agreements concluded in Pretoria and Luanda;
nauwe contacten leggen en onderhouden met alle partijen bij het overgangs- en vredesproces in het gebied van de Grote Meren in Afrika, andere landen in de regio, de Verenigde Staten van Amerika, andere betrokken landen, alsmede de Verenigde Naties en andere betrokken internationale organisaties, de Afrikaanse Unie, en subregionale organisaties en hun vertegenwoordigers alsmede andere prominente regionale leiders, om samen met hen te streven naar versterking van de vredesprocessen van Lusaka en Arusha en de vredesovereenkomsten van Pretoria en Luanda;
