The Commission first notes that according to the 2005 Aviation Guidelines, eligible costs of investments in an airport must be limited to construction of airport infrastructure and equipment (runways, terminals, aprons, control tower) or facilities that directly support them (fire-fighting facilities, security or safety equipment).
De Commissie merkt allereerst op dat volgens de richtsnoeren luchtvaartsteun van 2005 alleen investeringskosten voor de bouw van de eigenlijke luchthaveninfrastructuur en -voorzieningen (start- en landingsbanen, terminals, tarmacs, verkeerstoren) of rechtstreekse ondersteuning (brandbestrijdingsinstallaties, beveiligings- en veiligheidsvoorzieningen) subsidiabel zijn.
