According to this provision, the family unit of the applicant includes the children of the applicant as well as the children of the couple and children placed under the couple’s guardianship (i.e. those of the applicant and his or her spouse or unmarried partner in a stable relationship), but does not include the children of the applicant’s spouse or stable partner.
Volgens deze bepaling omvat de gezinseenheid van de aanvrager diens kinderen alsook de kinderen van het paar en de pleegkinderen die het paar zijn toevertrouwd (d.w.z. die van de aanvrager en zijn of haar echtgeno(o)t(e) of ongehuwde partner in een duurzame relatie), maar niet de kinderen van de echtgeno(o)t(e) of duurzame partner van de aanvrager.
