Supports the Commission in its view that services in connection with national education, public health and compulsory basic social security schemes, activities that are a matter of government, such as air traffic control authorities or bodies responsible for preventing pollution at sea, and those provided by non-profit organisations, in particular social, charitable and cultural institutions, should be excluded from the application of competition and internal market rules;
29. ondersteunt de Commissie in haar streven om diensten in verband met nationale onderwijsstelsels, de volksgezondheid en de verplichte aansluiting bij de basisvoorzieningen van de sociale zekerheid, activiteiten die uitgaan van de overheid, zoals het regelen van het luchtverkeer of het toezicht op de verontreiniging van het maritieme milieu, alsmede diensten die worden geleverd door instellingen zonder winstoogmerk, met name op sociaal, caritatief en cultureel gebied, vrij te stellen van de toepassing van de mededingingsregels en de voorschriften inzake de interne markt;
