Land reparcelling is an integral part of the structural improvement of production conditions in agriculture and should continue to be supported. However, this must not take place at the expense of landscape protection.

Verder moet bij de subsidiëringsmogelijkheden een beperking worden vastgesteld in vergelijking met artikel 33 van verordening 1257/1999 (streepje 11), hetgeen problematisch lijkt, aangezien ruilverkaveling en ruimtelijke ordening belangrijke instrumenten voor de plattelandsontwikkeling zijn, waarvan de reikwijdte thans veel verder gaat dan de oorspronkelijke doelstellingen die gericht zijn op verbetering van de landbouwstructuur.
