The IAEA together with the World Health Organisation, the Food and Agricultural Organisation, the International Labour Organisation, the Nuclear Energy Agency of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, and the Pan-American Health Organisation have revised the International Basic Safety Standards in the light of the ICRP's new Publication 103, and the Commission has informed the IAEA of its decision of 6 August 2012 to co-sponsor that document on behalf of the European Atomic Energy Community.
Samen met de Wereldgezondheidsorganisatie, de Voedsel- en Landbouworganisatie van de Verenigde Naties, de Internationale Arbeidsorganisatie, het Agentschap voor Kernenergie van de Organisatie voor Economische Samenwerking en Ontwikkeling, en de pan-Amerikaanse Gezondheidsorganisatie heeft de IAEA de internationale basisnormen herzien in het licht van de nieuwe publicatie 103 van de ICRP. Tevens heeft de Commissie de IAEA in kennis gesteld van haar besluit van 6 augustus 2012 om dit document namens de Europese Gemeenschap voor Atoomenergie mede in te dienen.
