(iii) assist the Commission in the performance of any task assigned to the Commission by existing and future Community legislation on maritime safety and ship pollution prevention, notably legislation applicable to classification societies, the safety of passenger ships, as well as that applicable to the safety, training, certification and watchkeeping of ships' crews;
iii) de Commissie bijstaan in de uitvoering van alle taken waarmee deze is belast krachtens bestaande en toekomstige communautaire wetgeving op het gebied van de veiligheid op zee en de voorkoming van verontreiniging door schepen, met name wetgeving die van toepassing is op classificatiemaatschappijen, de veiligheid van passagiersschepen alsmede op de veiligheid, opleiding, diplomering en wachtdienst van scheepsbemanningen.
