a) Monitoring and overseeing the implementation of this Action Plan, its conformity and coherence with Commission policies (e.g. RD, education and training, employment, enterprise policies, health and consumer protection), related initiatives throughout the Union and other relevant activities (e.g. the Commission’s Biotechnology Steering Committee), so to ensure maximum effectiveness;
a) toezicht houdt op de tenuitvoerlegging van dit actieplan, de verenigbaarheid en samenhang daarvan met het Gemeenschapsbeleid (b.v. op het stuk van OO, onderwijs en opleiding, werkgelegenheid, ondernemingsbeleid, gezondheid en consumentenbescherming), aanverwante initiatieven in de gehele Unie en andere relevante activiteiten (b.v. de stuurgroep Biotechnologie van de Commissie) teneinde een maximum aan doeltreffendheid te bereiken;
