Considers that the ECB, despite its policy of neutrality with regard to the euro’s international use, should closely monitor developments in this field and take the necessary measures if the financial and monetary stability of the euro zone is threatened; in particular, believes attention should be paid to the official use of the euro by the public and financial sectors of non-euro zone countries;
5. meent dat de ECB ondanks haar neutraliteitsbeleid ten opzichte van het internationaal gebruik van de euro de ontwikkelingen op dit terrein nauwlettend in de gaten zou moeten houden en de noodzakelijke maatregelen dient te nemen als de financiële en monetaire stabiliteit van het eurogebied in gevaar komt; gelooft met name dat aandacht dient te worden geschonken aan het officiële gebruik van de euro door de collectieve en financiële sectoren van landen buiten het eurogebied;
