Geneesmiddelen voor nasaal gebruik (in spray) die een corticosteroïde bevatten zijn enkel geïndiceerd voor allergische rhinitis en rhinitis vasomotorica met eosinofielen (zie het Gecommentarieerd Geneesmiddelen Repertorium van het Belgisch Centrum voor Farmacotherapeutische Informatie. Zij moeten dus niet voorgeschreven worden voor een gewone verkoudheid (alias afkoeling).

Le Répertoire commenté des médicaments du Centre belge d'information pharmacothérapeutique précise que ce médicament est indiqué dans le traitement de la rhinite allergique et de la rhinite vasomotrice (irritante non allergique) à éosinophiles.

Het Gecommentarieerd Geneesmiddelen Repertorium van het Belgisch Centrum voor Farmacotherapeutische Informatie preciseert dat dit geneesmiddel aangewezen is ter behandeling van allergische rhinitis en eosinofiele vasomotorische (irriterende niet-allergische) rhinitis.
