12. «ragionevolmente possibile »: significa che, oltre al rispetto delle buone pratiche ingegneristiche, nella progettazione, nella messa in esercizio, nell'esercizio o nella disattivazione di un impianto nucleare devono essere previste ed attuate altre misure volte ad assicurare la sicurezza o ridurre i rischi, a meno che le autorità nazionali di regolamentazione non riconoscano il fatto che esse si dimostrino manifestamente sproporzionate rispetto ai vantaggi che apporterebbero in termini di sicurezza;
12'. reasonably practicable ' means that, in addition to meeting the requirements of good practice in engineering, further safety or risk reduction measures for the design, commissioning, operation or decommissioning of a nuclear installation should be sought and that these measures should be implemented unless the national regulatory authority accepts that they are demonstrated to be grossly disproportionate with regard to the safety benefit they would confer;
