Attualmente, per convenzione, l’energia elettrica primaria ottenuta da fonti rinnovabili è contabilizzata in base al suo equivalente termico per effetto Joule (1TWh = 0,086 Mtep), mentre l’energia elettrica di origine nucleare, considerata anch’essa energia elettrica primaria, è calcolata in base al calore prodotto nel reattore (per convenzione 1 TWh = 0,26 Mtep).
At the moment, by convention, primary electricities of renewable origin are accounted on their thermal equivalent per Joule effect (1 TWh = 0.086 Mtoe), whereas electricity of nuclear origin, which is also considered as a primary electricity, is accounted on the basis of the heat produced in the reactor (1 TWh = 0.26 Mtoe by convention).
