Domani invece voteremo su delle richieste severe, ma realistiche, al settore del trasporto aereo, che costringeranno le compagnie aeree a pagare per i loro costi ambientali, che incentiveranno lo sviluppo di una tecnologia migliore e più rispettosa dell’ambiente, ma soprattutto renderanno possibile stabilire delle priorità e confrontare il trasporto aereo con i veri cattivi del biossido di carbonio, come le centrali a carbone.
Instead we shall vote tomorrow for tough but realistic demands on the aviation industry which force them to pay for their environmental costs, which force the development of better and more environmentally friendly aircraft technology, but which above all make it possible to prioritise, to compare aviation with the real carbon dioxide villains, like coal-fired power stations.
