Qualche anno fa, l’Umwelt- und Prognose - Istitut (UPI, Istituto ambientale e di previsione) di Heidelberg ha calcolato che in Germania, una volta che sono stati presi in considerazione tutti i costi diretti e indiretti dei trasporti, l’automobile media è sovvenzionata dal governo, in altre parole dal contribuente, per la modesta somma di circa 3 000 euro l’anno.
It is therefore important that intelligent transport systems become affordable and widely available as soon as possible’.
